For me I only have 1 pair of curtains in my house and they are heavy, taller than me light blocking thermal curtains running on grommets that occasionally catch, making it not the simple task it should be.
I went for the combo as I didn't already have the hub 2 or anything else. I chose the curtains 3 as they seemed the best that I could find on the market that retro fit to existing curtains, no matter the type of curtains you have.
I was torn between giving them a 4 or 5 star as whilst the initial set up was easy enough, it came with extra items (that I ended up needing (hooks and beads)) none of which was shown when I was looking to buy it (or I missed it) and some of the support videos the app leads you too were in a completely different language.
The automation platform is much like the others in so far that the more you get, the more automations you can sort out (eg sensors etc). Also, whilst I can achieve the open at sunrise or after 6am, whichever is later, it was easier than SmartThings app and more than complicated than Somfy app.
Volume I can't mark them down on as I know opening and closing is noisier than I would like, but that's the grommets and not the bots
A good thing was that if you go to open/close them manually, they start operating by themselves. However initially this did cause me to have to recalibrate several times and then tighten up the hooks and beads so the gap between grommets was not large. The end result is that they work every time now, even with my 5 year old playing with opening and closing them, which she couldn't do before and now loves.... frustratingly.

Installed two curtain switchbots about 2 weeks ago plus the hub 2 with the temperature, humidity and the clock. It's still too early to comment on the battery life but so far this bundle products exceeded my expectations. The installation was a breeze with the tutorial videos on the app. Setting up the connection between the app and the two devices... a breeze. The app is so informative, user friendly so the app devs did a fantastic job. hats off to the dev team. No bugs so far. The one thing missing is the quiet drift option with Alexa : However, it works like a charm with the app though. I'm so impressed with the quiet drift - you can't hear a thing! I had friends staying over who said they could hear a pin drop. Overall, I'm really impressed and I'm giving it a 5 stars review. Well done.

I own some SwitchBot 2 robots, and have now purchased a pair of SwitchBot 3 robots - the motors in those are much smoother than its predecessor, the SwitchBot curtain robots mesh beautifully with the hub and security cameras onto the easy to use app.

Ordered just in time before going on holiday. Very quick to install and setup. Was amazed with the ease to set timers for opening/closing each day and the possibility to control whilst on holiday. Will certainly buy again.
