As a paraplegic I find the switchbot robots are really useful. The app is easy to use, and it’s really simple and straightforward to connect everything.
What an amazing device and incredible battery life
I recently ordered a set of Switchbot curtain rail product and the order process, delivery and after service is great. I made a mistake on the order by ordering the wrong connector and got in touch via e-mail and a replacement head was sent over with no further questions. The product works perfectly fine. Highly recommend it.
Delighted with my curtain closers. I’ve had to shorten them a little to make them move easier but well worth it. It’s a great security measure for when we’re away from home.

Calibration and setup is easy to do. Control via Bluetooth always works. Mobile app straightforward to use. Solar panels are easy to install and connect - even on the curtain, and charge well even in winter. So nice to come down to a sun lit living room and kitchen in the morning.
We made slight changes to where the final curtain hook attaches to the curtain so that there is some natural overlap, to remove the slight gapage that on a manual curtain you'd just solve by tugging.
We had a try of having them controlled by light levels, but sadly it didn't work for us on either the street lit window or the one facing the countryside, hopefully they'll be able to improve this as it is just beta functionality at the moment.
I have a pair of these which both fuse within the app. Controlling it is extremely straightforward and you can do this through the app, voice, routines and even a slight tug on the curtains themselves!! Love it! The battery lasts several months with me having it setup to open and close every morning/night. I do have the solar panels attached which I do not recommend (see that review for details as I'll focus on curtain automation0 product here). Adding this to the rod was simple...I decided to place it a few fold away from the corner (different to what they instruct) as the blackout curtains otherwise have a gap if you put this device fully on the inner edge...with the placement I chose the curtains bunch together in the middle when closed so this prevents any gap. A suggestion for improvement are for the teeth to adjust to the height of the rod...it seems mine is between two sizes so if its too loose the device jumps/slips around a lot so instead I really press had and force it to sit on the tighter size for smooth movement (I personally do not want to use that much force) and it seems to get a bit loose again after a number of months (I had to readjust how tight the device holds onto the rod twice over the year...very minor but still hope this is taken into account. Otherwise amazing device and highly recommended
Super easy to install, I’ll admit I was a bit worried that it would fit on my rod but very easy to adjust.
I am terrible in the morning and really struggled getting myself up, usually taking 20 odd alarms to get me out of bed. Curtains open automatically at a set time with the natural light waking me up. Would 100% recommend!
Excellent bit of kit just needs a few more improvements
Purchased for a security deterrent and it works well. The solar panels work well But!
But only if located directly in the window. Attaching them direct to the bot will not work and hanging them on the curtain is not that good either. I located mine in the window and routed a 3 m usb extension cable around the window frame and through the top rail eyelets ( using additional curtain rings and clips). Solar panels work well in weak November sun if angled directly towards the sun.i am using mobile phone stands and both bots are charging extremely well.( No need to charge)
The separate hub is a pain but customer services have replied that they are working to covert to the MATTER standard in the near future.
The bots work well and have various automation routines.The light sensor option is the only one that does not work that well as the sensor is obscured by the window frame.The sensor needs to be relocated to the solar panels to obtain good readings.
Overall an excellent piece of kit that works. If the above improvements could be made? I would say perfect!
