This device is so much more than I had originally anticipated, it has full capability of adding so many different devices to any smart home ecosystem. I was able to use it to add a decorative light that I have and uses a remote and has several functions, and was also able to add all of my flameless candles that use a remote as well. When I first bought it, I wasn’t really sure if it was something that was a necessity but as I’ve been building my smart home, I become a bit spoiled with the idea of automation and after getting this device, I found countless additional items in my home that use remote that I’ve been able to add to this hub. It was also able to connect to Alexa so now I can simply say Alexa commands and have all of my candles turn on or off as just a simple example. If you already have a smart home, then I definitely recommend this to unlock new potential to devices that typically aren’t “smart” or even if you don’t have a smart home but have an Alexa device or a Google home, I would still consider this to be able to use your voice instead of using a remote to control devices. I’m looking forward to the upcoming holidays as I know I have a lot of decorations that use remotes and have a feeling I will find even more potential to use this device.

1. Great customer and tech support: I can easily file support tickets in the SwitchBot app and always get solid responses within a reasonable time. As an early adopter of new products, I sometimes ran into issues with the firmware, and the customer support team could always relay my reports to the tech team and get back to me with fixed firmware.
2. Matter support: I love Matter because Matter devices can be linked to other smart home systems in parallel (HomeKit and HomeAssistant, in my case). SwitchBot is one of the few companies (if not the only one) that followed through Matter implementation. They have withheld their promises to bring Matter support to existing devices and are adding Matter support to new devices, too.
3. Innovation: SwitchBot Bot is obviously an outstanding innovation that has solved numerous pain points in people's lives. SwitchBot continues to innovate by not only keeping a tunnel vision on traditional smart home devices. I especially love the universal remote because it provides the most accessible physical access I need to access my smart home with maximum flexibility.
4. Solid build quality and affordability: Switch-bot products have build quality and durability. They are reasonably priced, in my opinion, especially when compared to other products that support Matter or HomeKit.

I'm very happy with my hub, it makes thermometers send temperature data in my home, so I can get historical info. With one thermometer it was a good experience, but I have 4 devices in my house and this is really cool.

So far so good it's a bit tricky setting up but once you get the hang of it it works well! If there is no code for the remote you can learn just about every button from the remote but I will say this this item blows away that crappy atomi device that thing is such garbage I would never recommend it but this device yes I would!

Arrived swiftly. Easy setup. Updated the firmware and added remote control facility to multiple Switchbot equipment and IR controlled appliances. All easy and intuitive via the App. One problem when updating IR via the app it would fail. Latest firmware update cleared that issue. I find this universal remote an absolute essential item. It saves having multiple remotes around.. Very good useful product.

This remote works very well. I have all my switchbot lights, curtains open/closers and bots on switches on there and it works really well. My internet went down for a while and because switchbot devices not only use wifi but bluetooth as well I still had control. Its useful to have everyting in your pocket.
