A: Yes, SwitchBot Blind Tilt still gives you the option of controlling manually, and will auto-sync the blind status via our app.

Q: What is sunrise/sunset mode?

A: With Hub Mini, you can set SwitchBot Scenes via our app, set schedules when sunrise/sunset is set as a condition, or even set Blind Tilt to open/close as an action. Sunrise/sunset time adjustments according to the location you select.

Q: How long the batteries last?

A: With the included solar panel, Blind Tilt can stay powered forever in good sunlight conditions. Even without the solar panel, the Blind Tilt can last for over 10 months with windows that face less sunlight.

Q: Can I move my blinds to any position, and not fully open or close them?

A: Yes, you can fully open or close your blinds, in either direction. SwitchBot Blind Tilt allows for precise adjustments to the closest 2°.

Q: Can I group my blinds?

A: When controlled with SwitchBot Remote, you can control a maximum of 8 blinds in a group. With Hub Mini, you can set-up as many groups as you want.

Q: Dose Blind Tilt work with Alexa, Google Home, Siri, IFTTT, Home Assistant, Smart Things, and Homekit?

A: Paired with Hub Mini, Blind Tilt can work with third-party voice assistants. Currently, Blind Tilt works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri Shorts, Home Assistant and Smart Things. We are trying to develop other smart home integration also.

Q: Is the API open?

A: The API for Blind Tilt is estimated to be available one month after official product launch.

Q: What is the minimum and maximum diameter of supported blind wands?

A: Common-size wands are all supported. The specific diameter of blind wand supported are: 6.3mm to 10.2mm (0.25in to 0.4in), 12mm (0.47in).

Q: Is this compatible with vertical blinds?

A: Unfortunately, Blind Tilt is not compatible with vertical blinds.

Q: Is this device reliable?

A: Blind Tilt has been tested using hundreds of processes to make sure it is reliable, including extreme environment tests like -20°C to 65°C, 50% to 95% humidity, and undergone 5% NaCl Corrosion tests. We also tested it continuously rotating 50 thousand times to make sure our motor can last up to 5-years.

Q: Is it noisy when working?

A: SwitchBot Blind Tilt is designed with a low-noise motor, it only produces noise up to 40dB when working in quiet mode; and 50dB when in performance mode (the motor turns at a higher speed with higher torque at this time).

Q: Is solar panel included in the box?

A: Yes, every SwitchBot Blind Tilt will come with a solar panel.
