A few things worth checking.
Does every SwitchBot product work with Apple Home?+
No. Compatibility depends on the product, firmware and connection method. Check the linked compatibility list before purchasing.
Do Nanoleaf lights need a SwitchBot Hub?+
No. Compatible Nanoleaf lights have their own Apple Home connection path. Matter over Thread models need a compatible Thread Border Router.
Is every model and kit available in my country?+
Product models, electrical specifications and availability vary by region. Check the local store and the exact model before ordering.
Is HomeView available in every market?+
No. Apple’s October 13 announcement lists initial sales markets and English Siri AI availability. China and Japan are not in that initial list. Check Apple’s local store before purchasing.
HomeView availability starts November 13 in Apple’s listed launch markets. Siri AI initially supports listed English-language regions.
Does HomeView replace my SwitchBot Hub?+
No. The Apple home hub and the SwitchBot Matter bridge serve different roles. Keep the required SwitchBot Hub for bridged accessories; native models do not need a SwitchBot bridge.
Can every SwitchBot camera stream to HomeView?+
No universal camera claim applies. HomeView’s camera feeds and intelligent video features require supported cameras and, for some features, eligible iCloud+ and Apple Intelligence setup. A Video Doorbell acting as a lock bridge does not establish video compatibility.
